Steni village recently awarded the label of the colourful village!
The Label “Colourful Villages of Cyprus” was formed having in mind the principles of sustainability and how to best apply them in a traditional village setting. It aims at developing a new culture in the villages in relation to the importance and value of preserving and enhancing their special identity, their natural wealth and their cultural heritage, while promoting a bundle of benefits for the local communities.
The aim is to promote rural tourism activities, nature and culture tourism, by enriching the visitor’s spectrum of authentic and unique experiences offered in the Cypriot countryside.
Through this journey the community and the Pafos region in general, will certainly gain more awareness in the domestic and international travel markets and possible increase of visitability !
The Pafos Regional Board of Tourism congratulates Steni village for its achievement, supports the initiative and encourages Pafos communities to apply for the label!
