Pafos2017 goes out with a bang

Pafos2017 ending ceremony

The European Capital of Culture Pafos2017 will take a bow on December 30, after a year of wowing the whole of Europe with its line-up of cultural events. We saw musicians from different cultures and traditions come together in the name of art, we saw artists from different backgrounds give us their insight into contemporary themes, and we saw Paphos like we have never seen it before, and now the torch will be handed on – but not before one last performance.

The closing celebration, under the name ‘All About This City’, will take place on December 30 at 28th October Square at 7pm – the same place where the opening ceremony took place in January. During the event, the European Capital of Culture will celebrate everything the city has accomplished, as well as showing how proud it is of how it has managed to transform the city and make it even more beautiful.

Music, images, projections, mapping and lights will create a spectacle which will bring back memories exciting and moving the audience.

Closing ceremony for the European Capital of Culture Pafos 2017. December 30. Town Hall Square, Paphos. 7pm. Free. Tel: 26-955166
